TATA’s name associated with the country’s fastest Bande Bharat train, know what Indian Railways’ mega plan is

Tata Steel to manufacture Vande Bharat Train: It would not be wrong to call Vande Bharat Train the pride of Indian Railways. The Ministry of Railways has chalked out a mega plan to expand the services of the Bande Bharat trains. The experienced Tata Group will help complete this plan. According to the information, Tata Steel will now manufacture Bande Bharat trains. An agreement has been signed between the two, under which, over the next one year, 22 Vande Bharat trains will be manufactured by Tata Steel.

Vande is the fastest train in India

Vande Bharat is also called Semi Bullet Train. It is an indigenously built train based entirely on Indian technology. Indian Railways plans to build 200 Vande Bharat trains in the next two years. Currently it is a chair car train. It has only seating facilities and covers a maximum distance of about 750 km. Railways plans to run it on long-distance routes, which require a sleeper. Indian Railways has set a target of first quarter of 2024 for sleeper Vande Bharat trains.

200 Vande Bharat trains will be built in next 2 years

According to a report by news agency IANS, the Ministry of Railways has signed an agreement with Tata Steel to meet the target of construction of 200 Vande Bharat trains in the next two years. Tata Steel will manufacture LHB Coaches (Link Hoffman Bush Coaches) for Indian Railways. The company will prepare panels, window structures for the compartment.

India will manufacture 14 coaches each of the 22 trains

According to the company report, Railways awarded a contract worth Rs 145 crore to Tata Steel. The company will manufacture various parts of coaches (coaches of Bande Bharat trains). Production will be completed within the next 12 months. Tata Steel will manufacture seating for 22 Bande Bharat trains. Each train will have 16 coaches each.
