New Delhi. In view of the increasing popularity of Vande Bharat trains across the country, preparations are underway to derail more semi-high speed trains. Not only this, there are also plans to run Vande Bharat trains with sleeper coaches. Tenders are also being given to companies for this. Vande Bharat trains with sleeper coaches are being prepared to run at a speed of 220 km per hour. According to experts, semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express trains will run in future instead of trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duranta.
Explain that the Vande Bharat Express is India’s first semi-high-speed train, built and designed by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, a subsidiary of the Indian Railways. The train is sleek, modern and fully air-conditioned, with world-class amenities and services for passengers. In the next two years, 400 trains of this version will be put on the tracks on different routes of the country. The sleeper version of the Vande Bharat Express coaches will be made of aluminum and will be designed to run at a maximum speed of 220 kmph, the railways said.

These trains will replace the Shatabdi-Raddhani trains
According to the Railways, several companies including ICF have shown interest in building these trains. According to media reports, of the 400 trains, the first 200 will be chair car trains and the rest will be sleeper versions. It is also stated that the chair car trains will be designed to run at a maximum speed of 180 kmph and for commercial purposes will run at 130 kmph. In fact, the chair car version of the Vande Bharat trains will gradually replace the Shatabdi Express trains and the sleeper version of the train will replace the Rajdhani Express trains.

By the end of this year, Vande Bharat trains will be launched in many states of India. Prime Minister Modi flagged off semi-high speed train services between Mumbai – Sainagar Shirdi and Mumbai – Solapur at a function held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai, taking the total number of Bande Bharat Express routes to 10. New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (Jammu-Kashmir) Vande Bharat Express, Gandhinagar and Mumbai Vande Bharat Express, Himachal Pradesh Vande Bharat Express New Delhi to Amb Andaura, Chennai-Mysore Vande Bharat Express, Nagpur -Bilaspur Vande Includes Bharat Express etc.
